Nuisance animals and dangerous dogs

We don't consider dogs barking, animal noises or waste to be anti-social behaviour. If you're being impacted by these, please try to resolve the issue with you neighbour. However, if you've done this and nothing has changed, report your concerns to us and our Housing team will contact you.

If a dog shows dangerous behaviour including biting another animal or person please report this to the Police in the first instance. Once you have reported it to the Police, please report a neighbourhood issue, and include the incident report number.

Dog breeds

We do not permit you to have any breeds of dog to which section 1 of the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 applies, dogs placed on the index of Exempt Dogs may be granted permission based on individual circumstances – contact us for more information.

However, if you have any concerns about the welfare of a pet, contact the RSPCA.
