Contents insurance

lets protect what makes your place a home

You have a home full of things that you need and love – clothes, your TV, kitchen appliances, keepsakes, furniture, and gadgets. Surely, if stuff’s worth owning, then it’s worth protecting. And guess what? It may not cost as much as you might think for tenants contents insurance, and if you’re covered, you don’t have to find the cash to put things right.

Why is contents insurance important?

You never expect things to go wrong at home but it could happen. It’s worth asking yourself if you’d need help with the cost of putting things right after a kitchen fire, washing machine flood, or a break in. Contents insurance financially protects the contents in your home, garage or shed – such as your clothes, TV, furniture, gadgets, and garden tools.

If your belongings are stolen or damaged by vandalism, water leaks, flooding, storms, or fire, you could claim on your insurance with no excess to pay.

We've teamed up with Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance

We’ve worked with our insurance provider, RSA, to make sure the cover, price, and service could be suited to your needs. Prices start from as little as 45p per week, £1.47 per month, or £15.65 a year* for contents insurance.

You can pay, weekly, fortnightly, monthly or annually, whatever suits you best, and there won't be any excess on claims or fees for changing your details or cancelling your policy. You can upgrade your cover to protect your homes contents against accidental damage and you have the option to protect your belongings whilst away from the home. You can also cover your bicycles, hearing aids, and wheelchair/mobility scooter(s) whilst away from your home.

Cover everything in your home

Tenants contents insurance financially protects the contents in your home, garage, or shed – such as your clothes, TV, furniture, gadgets and garden tools. Even wheelchairs and hearing aids can be covered as an optional extra. What about mishaps in the home, like spilling paint on the sofa or dropping your phone and smashing it? If you upgrade your policy to add accidental damage cover, then you could be covered for this type of hiccup too.

Extra protection while you’re out and about

Leaving your phone on the bus, losing your hearing aid in the supermarket, damaging your mobility scooter on the way to the chemist or having your bicycle stolen from work – all sorts of things can happen when you’re out and about. That’s why we give you the option to add extra cover for greater peace of mind. These include Personal belongings cover, Hearing aids, Wheelchairs/mobility scooters, and bicycle cover inside and away from your home.
