Housing with Care
Why choose Housing with Care?
We have six Housing with Care schemes at Flagship. These schemes combine independent living with access to 24/7 care and support, tailored to individual needs and provided by a third-party care and support provider.
Each customer has their own self-contained flat, with communal areas available for social activities and dining.
Key features
- a safe and secure environment
- support to live independently
- on-site carers
- domestic cleaning of your home included in rent
- self-contained flats with kitchen and wet room within a scheme
- pull cord alarms or pendant (pendants may be an extra charge)
- communal lounges and dining areas
- hairdressers at some schemes
- safe and secure mobility scooter room for charging and storage
What are the benefits?
Support is designed to help you develop skills and confidence so you can live as independently as possible. On-site, or visiting staff can provide guidance, reassurance and assistance when you need it.
There will be opportunities to make friends and socialise as often as you'd like, and you can get involved in regularly scheduled activities (there may be an additonal cost for some of these).
Renting this type of accommodation provides you with an assured tenancy meaning you have certain rights under the housing law as a customer. This is different to care homes where residents don't have tenancy rights and live under licence agreements only.
Our Housing with Care schemes
Our supported accommodation sites can be found across Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex. There is no age limit for a housing with care home, however, you'll need to have a care need assessment which is carried out by the social care team. To find out more please phone the correct team for your area.

Rent and service charges
When you live in our Housing with Care schemes you'll need to pay rent to us as the housing provider of your home. You may also need to pay for some service charges which cover the cost of communal utilities, shared facilities, maintenance and garden areas.
If you are on a lower income, you may be entitled to housing benefit or universal credit to help cover some, or all your rent. You might need to contribute towards the cost of the support provided at the scheme and if you choose to participate in certain social activities there could be an extra cost for these. You'll be responsible for paying Council Tax to the local authority.
