Cranworth Close, Grundisburgh

We’ve been working with the Grundisburgh community and our design team to shape a project that will bring more affordable homes to the village.

Plans have now been approved to replace two under‑used garage sites on Cranworth Close with six new affordable rent homes. As part of the project, we’ll also be improving parking across the close, adding new planting and cycle parking, and keeping the pedestrian link through to Stoney Road.

What happens next?

East Suffolk Council approved the detailed planning application for the site in 2026. With the approval of the application, we’ve been working up the next steps. This stage takes some time, as it’s important we get it right – ensuring the homes we build are of the highest quality and truly meet the needs of future residents. We’ll keep this page updated and continue to be in touch directly with residents in and around Cranworth Close.
