Key worker couple move into first home at Mill Grove development

Flagship Group and Hopkins Homes have worked in partnership on the Mill Grove development in Stowmarket. Mill Grove offers an outstanding collection of one, two, three and four bedroom new homes, across a range of designs and styles including stylish apartments, charming cottages, contemporary three-storey townhouses and traditional family homes.

Key worker couple, Ben and Charlotte Cobbold and their two young children, were among the very first to move into the new Mill Grove development in Stowmarket.

The couple were planning to extend their old house to create more space for their growing family. After their home was valued at more than they anticipated, the pair decided to take the next step up the property ladder and purchase a new house with the extra space they required.

Ben is the practice manager at Woolpit Health Centre, Woolpit, near Bury St Edmunds and is busy co-ordinating the practice’s Covid-19 vaccination programme. His wife is a care worker at the Bupa-run Chiltern Meadows Care Home in Stowmarket.

Searching for their new family home in Suffolk during this busy time, the family soon fell in love with Mill Grove, which launched in November 2020.

Ben said: “When we started looking for our dream home we knew we wanted a new build property that was located in the heart of Suffolk’s countryside but still offered all the facilities and amenities we needed on a day-to-day basis. Thankfully, we have got all that and more with our Hopkins Home and it really stood head and shoulders above anything else we looked at.

“Our Sales Consultant, Jacqui, was brilliant throughout the entire process and assisted us from our first enquiry through to the moment we collected our keys. Whether it was answering our questions, talking us through information, offering practical guidance or arranging viewings, we found that Hopkins Homes was with us every step of the way.”

Tony Tann, Managing Director of Flagship’s development company said: “We provide homes to people from all walks of life, so we’re delighted that some of the first homes at Mill Grove will go to very deserving key workers.

“Mill Grove will also create much needed housing in Suffolk, and we’re pleased to be working in partnership with Hopkins Homes, putting us one step closer to our goal of solving the housing crisis in the East of England.”

Monika Hanlon, Group Sales and Marketing Director at Hopkins Homes, said: “For over three decades we have earned a reputation for delivering high quality homes and developments, with Mill Grove being no exception.

“We were thrilled to welcome the Cobbold family to our development which has been carefully designed for people and families from all walks of life. They both work in healthcare and have been very much on the frontline when it comes to looking after patients during these extraordinary times.
